Deborah Scales

Thirty-three years experience as a practicing, professional artist – Fine Art Painting with working experience in artistic gift and product design, art publishing, craft design, art industry business administration and marketing, gallery works, trade exhibitions, and interior design with works of art.

Pro-active in the community development of art education and art industry in Fiji. Solid administrative experience and professionalism in visual art teaching, mentoring, program design, implementation, and evaluation in public schools, (K-12) through tertiary and University level. Excellent research, writing and communication skills. Experienced in grant writing, sponsorship proposal writing and public relations. Computer literate.

Recognized for the ability to design, facilitate, promote and develop innovative, community orientated, artistic, cultural and educational projects and programs. Specialized expertise in the teaching of life drawing, design and oil or water based painting.
